There's a thread in SPL questioning the legality of a Disco with big tyres that stick out beyond the arches...how do hot rods get away with no arches at all?
By not getting caught. I remember seeing a hot rod with mudguards made out of tyres. They were the absolute minimum size required and, from 10 feet, were all but invisible.
My mate runs his fenderless and hasn’t had tug.

Yet biggrin

Similarly, a mate and I were looking at a TVR Griffith the other week - how does that not need a rear number plate light? Or is it very well hidden?

It is hidden.

The Griffith has a backlit number plate and requires a unique opaque number plate

Translucent. Opaque means light cannot pass through it.

Ah, thanks both of you. The number plate didn't look anything special, but then I guess that's intentional.

I'm always impressed by how your small bicycle-loving country has such an active classic/old-/young-timer scene.
