A PH member recently bought a 1996 Xedos 9 and has a readers car thread about it.

Looks like a nice car.

I only see this car once a year as it’s parked next to where the 944 gets MoT’d. Hard to say if another year in the elements has done that much more harm to it … (if any more could be done).

Love the old Merc content - there's a good looking estate version in burgundy there too

The silver trim under the taillights shows that the silver car is a top of the range 280E - B reg is penultimate year of sale in the UK.

Been there for years and iirc from the local FB groups, it isn't owned by the shopkeeper who's shop its in front of. Can't be great for business.

This cropped up on a Maserati facebook group recently, I'm not sure which '4xx' variant it is but it's an earlier one with the four bolt pattern alloys, later cars had a five bolt pattern....

LDV that looks like it’s been at the bottom of a lake. SORN’d though, so someone loves it. And 10 yards away from it, a Standard 8 keeps watch …

What a happy little face the Standard 8 has with the headlight eyebrows. Like something from a Pixar film.

Colyton, East Devon. Still there then, I posted an almost identical photo back in June!

That's an early one - 74/5. It might even have a 1300 Pinto.

The regn. no. is Dept.36 (Indre), approx. 125 miles south of Le Mans. There's some old writing in the grime which looks like Poitiers (a nearby town to west of Indre) with a telephone number and what looks like a possible price, 3,000F (Francs), which would have been approx £300 pre-Euro. It's an old black/silver plate, and the Franc price would suggest that the car was almost certainly there pre-2002.

The big dawg with the beard sealing the deal with a ciggy on - now that's the way to buy a Ferrari! I'd imagine there's a busty companion somewhere carrying a briefcase full of cash. BB512 in the foreground - in my head he's just bought that for cash!
