Thanks, what a cracking reply beer

NEC Motor Show, 1980.

New for 1981my 4 door saloon 900 turbo , with the Michelin TRX metric size wheels .
Debut also for the B201H engine with the early chocolate timing chain tensioner , 3 years until the B202 16 valve version debuted .
Also 3 years until the 2 door version of that car appeared ,much sportier look and sold well , should have sold that earlier .

I've just realised that P5Nij has posted in the wrong thread ,nothing rotting in those pics .
no matter .

The Disco is a late 200, with an Anderson 175 connector hanging out the lower portion of the grille.

Is it sad that I remember those 2 cars from a previous post? I did a quick search and it was May 2019!

Some Mercedes, parked in the pub carpark area of the Royal Standard near Beaconsfield. There are a few other odd random classics in various states of disrepair on the site. Presumably, all bought and dumped by the insanely wealthy private owner of that pub (they make a killing every weekend).

Maybe the red one is valuable...ish?
The red one is a W114 prefacelift coupe. Absolute minters would probably reach the low £30k's. The gold W126 would struggle to reach 5 figures even in A1 condition which that obviously, is a million miles from being.

MOTs expired in 2012 (red one) and 2010 (gold). They were certainly knackered by their last MOTs going by the failure list....

My classic is dry stored when not in use. There are some pretty unusual vehicles - a Leyland Single Decker Bus, an immaculate Seddon lorry, an A35 and a lovely Bond Equipe. amongst these and the less esoteric campers and caravans there is a pair of Jags that have never moved in over 5 years. Storage is still being paid, but it does make me a little sad that they are not being used or restored.

Tin worm on the bonnet, with a forlorn "Don't scrap me" written in the dust. Not old enough or special enough I would have thought to save.

The Mk10 looks a better bet to be a project, but it would be a huge undertaking.

This lives in Reading. It has been here ever since at least 2015, slowly getting buried with crud from the tree above. I'm pretty sure it is manual as well. The centre caps have been taken off or stolen since I last saw it a couple of years ago.

A green 325i shouldn't be treated this way! frown.

It passed an MOT in Feb 2019, but didn't make it to the next MOT in Feb 2020 (not SORN though), so at a guess I'd say it's suffered a big failure and/or judging by the state of the house the owner might be ill and/or has passed.

Manual E30 325is are starting to climb in value now. I really hope it gets saved.

Agreed. A man of your calibre can surely make that happen!? Drop the body over the noisy bits of an X308 XJR!

biglaugh I've wanted to put a V12 in one for quite a while! Depends if the owner would sell it though, of course.

If anybody is watching " Guilt " on BBC 2, one of the main characters drives one.
Looks Fabulous :-)

If you’ve got to do it, you’ve got to do it properly laugh
