A couple spotted on a pleasant evening's walk around Hampstead and Belsize Park yesterday:

Spotted on the northbound M40 near Banbury this morning - a beautiful metallic burgundy Aston Martin DB2 being trailered, and a few minutes later blasting its way south a lovely dark blue Porsche 993.

Looked like a Daytona - but is probably some less desirable / valuable sub-species. Nice to see it out and about nonetheless.

It is coming up on Regisearch as a Ferrari Daytona with a very low mileage of just over 18,000.

[PEDANT] Technically, it's a Ferrari 365 GTB4 - The car was never officially called the "Daytona" by the factory, that was just a nick-name (the factory do recognise the name "Daytona" though) [/PEDANT]

It's a genuine car, and not some "less desirable / valuable sub-species" (the only "sub-species" would be the 365 GTC/4, but the more angular design and triple tail lights give those away instantly)

A sad fact is, if it were a kit-car, and not a genuine Ferrari, it would be an even more incredible spot because, whilst there were loads of 365 GTS4 (Spider [convertible] ) replica/kit cars made, there were very, very few Berlinetta kit-cars made (in fact, a Berlinetta kit car would be a much rarer spot than a genuine factory spider would be!)

Spotted near Hampstead Heath today.

My father had one just like this back in the day, when I were but a nipper!

As close to American glamour as most of us got back then, the Anglia apart.

The rear view is very reminiscent of almost every car the cartoonists Brockbank ever drew!

Spotted in Little Aston near Sutton Coldfield earlier today, a Porsche 550 Spyder, most likely a replica, very low and surprisingly nice sounding too. Also several VW bay window camper vans on the M6, brightening up the view amongst the usual monotony of silver / grey / white moderns.

Ops almost forgot - also seen this morning on my way out, a neighbour's recently acquired bright yellow 993.

Spotted in Hampstead yesterday. Not sure if it belongs here or in the badly modified thread...

Those wheels are gopping!

To be fair, that's only half a day's work from being back to original. Original steel wheels with the colour matched hubcaps, remove the boot spoiler and get some yellow / while number plates on it.

Only thing is it may be lowered.

About to get on the M6 from the M40 today. Once past this bit of congestion, it didn't hang around either!

I spotted this Maxi driving through derby a week or so ago. Looked really cool with all the special tuning accessories, and when was the last time you saw a Maxi on the road!?

That’s lovely. Just wondering if it’s a factory or after-market hardtop as the rear window proportions look a bit different to the ones I’ve seen.

I wonder if it is an import as Cazana seems to think that it was registered in 2003?

Looks like the MOT expired in 2013 although I guess it is now exempt?
