For me, the only points that the XR3 scored over the Pug was build quality and finish. The Pug was really quite tinny and the interior wore badly.
The Pug was far less rot prone though scratchchin

This is my W123 200T. I've repaired lots of bits and bobs over the last 18 months or so.
Still could do with some more stuff doing including replacing all front and rear suspension rubber bits and joints.
The interior is in very good nick.
It's pretty slow, but with the rare 5 speed manual it's nice and quiet on motorways. Doesn't get over 25mpg though.

The mats are Cocomats.

They were from the US and with delivery and import charges were expensive. They sell through ebay too, which will give you an idea of prices.

I saw lots of great photos of cars with them and over a period of a few months convinced myself to order some, despite me thinking they were far too much for a pair of mats!

To be fair, they are extremely well made, heavy and do not move at all. They are rubber backed and custom made for the car. They have patterns for any car.

I was an idiot when ordering them for not telling them they were for a RHD car. By the time I realised, they had made them LHD and were in the hands of the courier. They managed to recall the delivery and made RHD mats without charging me for my cock up.

Thank you, they look fantastic... might treat myself in the new year!

How was it doing all the suspension rubber bits? Really fiddly or not too bad?

That's what I still want to be done. I've changed front shocks and engine mounts which was straight forward.
The front springs need to be removed for some of the other work. I don't have the tools for that, so it may end up with the professionals.

Ah, sorry, read it wrong, thought you'd done it!
I have a few bushes on the rear of my coupe that are on the way out.

Just lovely, such a great colour and these really suit white walls too. One evaded me last year and I still regret it. Enjoy.

[quote=Rollin]The mats are Cocomats.

I bought three sets a couple of years ago for a Citroen SM, a 3.0 CSL and a Mini Cooper S. Exactly as said - well made and pricey. Pics of the mats in the SM and CSL below. The CSL mats were snazzy checkerboard mats that aped the official BMW option mats available in the early 70s and match the Tiaga Green paintwork. The company were very particular sending me paper templates to check in the footwells.

Your profile suggests that you're in Manchester, or that way on. I'm in N Manchester and have a set of MB internal spring compressors. If you want the use of them you'd be more than welcome, just drop me a PM. smile
