Time to get back on topic?
Followed a hot tip for this.
'87 500 SEC last MOT'd in 2010 with only 33600 miles covered from new!
Parked in an open barn since then, with the best of British weather getting to it.
Started and ran, but bitterly disappointed as it has rust in inner arches, doors, wings, front panel etc so would need a fortune spending on bodywork
SIM, any more details on this one? Is it for sale? Where is it ? It is the same colour and age / model year as the 560 SEC I am slowly restoring and could be really useful to me .... Thanks for your help. Followed a hot tip for this.

There's a white D plate m5 in underground carpark at kingsland shopping centre in Dalston that hasn't moved in at least three years but it almost certainly won't be forgotten about.100 IAN said:

I was thinking that actually the proportions aren't too bad and if the bonnet scoops were removed, the cross hatching intakes improved, the side striations sorted and the wheels changed for some Campagnolos we would all be swooning....
As a fan of both Alfa and Maserati, I take offence at your suggestions Seriously though, what on earth is the yellow car?

As already mentioned, I think it's an Opel Manta with a Mattig body kit, but with additional modifications.Seriously though, what on earth is the yellow car?
The wheels are also made by Mattig.

I'll chase it up again. The lad selling it claimed he had someone willing to pay three times what I thought it was worth.
That might be true, in which case it has already sold, or it might have been his sales pitch to try and get a better price.

It's not entirely relevant but that reminds me of an incident at work this week. I'm currently driving for a secondhand car dealer with around 150 cars at a time of which he sells 20 to 25 a week. A couple of men came in asking to look at a very nice Audi A4 saloon. The guv'nor said yes, but they'd have to be quick because a lady said she was coming back to buy it and had just gone home to fetch some money. Yeah, yeah. The two lads had heard it all before. Car dealers, eh? They said they liked the car but would come back later. Make the dealer sweat. Make him think about reducing the price. They went, the lady came back with her husband and a pile of money, they organised the tax then and there and drove away. Then the two men came back. That nice A4? Gone. The lad selling it claimed he had someone willing to pay three times what I thought it was worth.
