Well, well, small world wink

Tottenham Court Road in the early '70s - a Mk1 or possibly Mk2 Mini 'woodie' sans wood with a dodgy looking Clubman fibreglass front end and 'Ed Straker' wheel trims...

These could be had without the wood if I recall correctly.

Watford Junction railway station in the 1980s...but what’s that small vehicle (three wheeler car? A boat?) in the car park?

Some impressive loyalty to local manufacturing shown here in a Bavarian car park.

Nice Lancia Gamma Berlina between the Honda and Citroen GS on the left, and the new shape "aerodynamic" grey C3 Audi 100 nose in center of frame which looks so modern compared to the squared off Merc W123s and BMW E12s. But how about that Golf GTI Mk 1 "Pirelli" (called Campaign in the UK) bottom right! It was the run out model of the Mk 1 produced for a couple of months in 1983 which dates the photo.

Could be a Morgan Aero from the late 1920s

The Beige Mk2 Golf just to the right of the tree means it must be 1984 at the earliest. Interestingly, no E30s in evidence and only one W126 MB

Interestingly, although it's 1984, there are no Sierras and no Mk2 'breadvan' Polos but there are two Fiat Unos

Nice to see a pic from the days when cars were actually coloured, rather than various shades of grey sludge as today.

You're right. The Mk 2 was launched at the end of 1983 in Germany but given the shirtsleeves and t-shirts on show, this is probably spring time 1984. Yes, there's a blue W126 to the right of the blue van, a mark 1 Capri opposite the tree, and is that an orange Renault 5 one from the end far right of frame?

Couple of Mk1 Granada's as well, and a custard yellow Fiat 131 right at the back.

Indeed.

Lots of yellows, greens and oranges, which you just don't see today, green especially is almost unheard of today.

Bright yellow BMW E12 in foreground, imagine peoples reaction today seeing a bright yellow 5 Series.....!!

As has been said, so nice to see an array of bright colours. So many of those cars I'd like to have now!
