The infamous 'Morrari' from 1960's New Zealand Allcomer Racing Series in the mid-1960's.

It was 1955 Ferrari Formula One chassis (chassis 555/1) shortened and modified from centre steering to left-steering, fitted with a 327ci Chevy small block V8, and draped in a low light Moggy Minor body, to match the Ferrari chassis almost perfectly.

Marvellous beer fuelled, antipodean crazyiness biggrin

And closer to home, the Beardmore Brothers Minor with a FIAT DOHC 16v 2.0 mounted in a spaceframe chassis.

Thanks again - I really do like that, it has a touch of 'Radford' about it, those seats would sit very nicely in a period Mini.

Bad spot, that's a Standard 10, (or possibly, 8) not an Austin.

Not Chester, but Chester Road flyover in Manchester. Looking south from City Centre with St George's church in the distance.

It's the post war rebuild of St Thomas's Hospital. I would have thought it was a bit earlier than that but the Fiat 124 estate dates it to '65 at the earliest

I read that on the day in question, all but essential vehicles were supposed to be off the road during the changeover hours. Looks like everybody wanted wanted to be there.
God forbid that we ever have to do that in the UK. eek
