The Stag, back from her bare metal respray, and looking resplendent in the weekend sun - just ticked over 77k miles.

A ropey photo of a momentous event for our 500L. Taken 2 weeks ago, it was on a flatbed about to head Electric Classic Cars in Wales to have a new electric motor, batteries and ancilliaries fitted.
When's this going to be coming back, Blib? Bet you can't wait. What was behind the decision to get it done - it's not like it's a gas-guzzler! Just making it into a cleaner city-runabout?

The car's finished, has undergone several hundred miles of testing at Electric Classic Cars and now awaits the completion of a new garage before it heads the 200 miles from North Wales to East Anglia.

It's Mrs B's car. She test drove a classic, electric 500 last year, loved it and decided to have the car converted.

With a fair wind, the car will be back on a trailer before the end of the month. It will be used as a summer car, ghosting around the B roads of deepest Suffolk.

I can't wait to have a go!

Can I ask where you got the front plate please? Looking for similar size but the only one I found was awful quality.

Back in its heyday.......

Now tantalisingly near to the end of a restoration that has absorbed nearly three years (so far)....

Hi Mark. The one in that picture is actually a sticker, on a piece of plastic, which if I remember is an old chicken breast packet! Did it years ago. Anyway, this week I have put the proper plate on, which is same size but metal pressed and really nice. Framptons did it, they will make any size and spec, really nice people to deal with and quick turnaround.
