Is the 500 that one in the new telly programme Blib?
No, our car is not the one they showcase. Apparently, you can see ours lurking in the background on occasion. If you're interested, here's a You Tube walkaround of our car by Richard Morgan, boss of Electric Classic Cars - the company in Vintage Voltage. In it he explains what they did and takes it for a spin.

Neither have I, and I've owned it for two years!
I need to drop into a tyre repair shop first thing tomorrow to get a quick patch up, then I'll drive it until the wheels fall off. Which, based on my experience so far, might not be very long. But it sounds awesome.
My SC was my daily for about two years around 15 years ago. I put about 30,000 miles on it in that time and after the initial recommissioning it was very reliable. France several times, Spain once, and all over UK for work. It had a period aftermarket Irmscher exhaust and sounded great, not loud but deep and rich. Would set off car alarms in car parks. Brilliant cars.I need to drop into a tyre repair shop first thing tomorrow to get a quick patch up, then I'll drive it until the wheels fall off. Yes, 780 miles. Used to go home for a long weekend every 3rd week.
Used to do similar in a Chimaera and a Tuscan to Germany.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
The rear lights were a mod someone had done before I bought it.
Proper motoring well done.Used to do similar in a Chimaera and a Tuscan to Germany.

When I got back to the UK and checked, I found that the outer tube of the backbone frame, which ran behind the sill had corroded completely through.
Skinny bit of fibreglass keeping my bum off the road for 1000 miles.

My recently acquired land yacht.... my plan was to take it to France before Covid messed up our plans - have been using it as a daily and surprised by how much I have grown to like it.... with the roof down on a sunny day, its a great lazy mode of transport...!! Plus gets some nice positive comments.

Thanks for the comments on the SL - heres another member of the fleet.... a picture from last year but I enjoyed a very nice brief outing yesterday which just reminded me that you don't need hundreds of horsepower to have some really good fun. Yes it is a real one....but like the Merc in no way a concours one
