This has been parked up and seemingly abandoned for some time. Any ideas what the bike could be?

Sunbeam Rapier looking a bit forlorn having been sitting on grass opposite some houses out in the sticks in deepest Lincolnshire … the MG BGT looked in use I think …

The Sunbeam had an MoT pass as recently as 2018 …

Does the Sunbeam need an MOT i.e. is it not exempt?

I used to have a Rapier Fastback H120 in a pale yellow and with a canvas sliding sunroof. Lovely car, especially in that colour.

Did they do a non-fastback?

Reliant Scimitar?
(I'll leave it up to others to decide if it is a classic or not).

Can you say where that Rapier is.

We visited somewhere near there and I saw this on the way home. The town we went to had the road on either side of a river/canal or some sort of waterway.

Been racking our brains trying to remember.

It is, and it is. In my opinion, at least. Looks like an earlier SE5 GTE (ie narrower than the SE6).

Do you think? I reckon it might be a 6.

I had a Scimitar SE5a after the Rapier Fastback. It's hard to tell from the shell but I think it's the SE5a. Definitely a classic.

One I've kept meaning to take a better photo of but is awkwardly on a bend so picture stolen from google maps.

Anyway, Mitsubishi FTO. Been there about 5 years or so.

Would it be convenient-ish to get back there and sneak around those buildings to take close up photos of that FTO?

They have some beautiful rear light clusters. It's not a fetish. Would just like to see the effects of time on the car.

Not easily, it's somewhere I pass reasonably regularly (as in every other month or so) but it's just inside the entrance to a farm which is on the inside of a bend off an A road. There isn't any nearby parking and no pavement!

(it's almost directly behind the 50 limit sign btw, in the gap between the brick building and the barn )
