Yep, the past really is a different place!

How often do you see a rusty 61-plate car running around?

Mind you, my Avenger was a lot rustier than that, when I got it at 11 years old laugh

(the car was 11, not me, honest...)

Yes, probably a BR crew van belonging to the P/Way or S&T department.

Some Merc's are rusty at 9 years old?

Dacia's have a big recall for tailgates that are melting in the air right now 2013 -2016 models....

Slightly bigger pic - that red Chevette looks like a facelift which came to the UK in Autumn '79.

The only Montreal I've ever seen was a scruffy example on the back of a lorry in Italy a couple of years ago.

I don't think it is a Twink.

Could be an early 1300GT?

It's been pointed out to me elsewhere that what I thought was an Espada in the Ledbury Mews pic is a De Tomaso Mangusta… wink

A quickie before I toddle off to work... Walmer Road, W11, in 1971...

There is a chain of halal butchers in Bristol called Pak Butchers. I always assumed it was a play on Pat Butcher, but this predates Eastenders by quite a few years.

On google maps that had a halal butcher shop sign until 2015.

Good call, you could well be right smile

Twink was my first thought but cant quite put my finger on why, maybe just the way its sitting at the back and the wheels look a bit wider than standard..
