Spotted these on a recent trip to Naples - near Caserta. Fulvia, Alfa Spider and mystery Jeep thing. Any idea about the Jeep? The foilage shot is the dashboard!

It looks like a CJ3 of some kind; they were licence-built all over so it could be anything from a Viasa to a Mahindra.
Alfa Romeo Matta?

Wouldn't that be cool! Don't think so though - quick internet search shows the dials were behind the wheel rather than a central mounted speedo like this one. Thanks though for introducing me to the Matta. Bet we'll here more of it as Alfa launches its first SUV - y'know, as if they were were BORN to make em.

I can't see any 'Matta' in the vehicle pictured. Rear lights look wrong, and the bottom of the body, where it met the chassis/rear bumper was a straight horizontal line on the 'Mad' Alfa. The Matta is visually more akin to an early Landrover, especially the shape of the rear tub. This poor old overgrown truck is very much visually similar to the Jeep 'CJ' series. I'm thinking the CJ-5 which was in production from the mid 1950s right up until 1983. That 'notch' where the towbar/chassis meet the bottom of the bodywork certainly looks very "Jeep".

Not quite a classic yet but I drove past this Celica near Birmingham the other day, looked like it's been there a while.

They're on the road from Luton to Dunstable.
I went past these a couple of days ago.

I wonder what the story is. Is the owner so used to them being there he doesn't see them any more?

Poor things.

Probably bought for £5k each, slapped on some Dulux white, not been properly maintained for years and hey presto, you have a wedding car hire business.

Drive them into the ground for a couple of years. They break down, repairs are too expensive, so park them in the drive whilst they appreciate rolleyes

Some passing chancer's offer of £5k for the pair will be met by "nah, thems classics mate, worth £20k at least for each".

Five years time, still there, deluded owner thinks he should be able to retire on the eventual proceeds whilst they deteriorate into scrap.

I'm jesting of course, but not too far from the truth methinks.

Noticeable that the house is the only one on the street with its original windows and is in need of TLC just like the car.

It was odd. I spotted the Fiat, along with several other cars of random makes, outside a restorers in Felixstowe. The problem to my mind was that none of them were getting any better sitting out in the weather.

Oooh, what's that hiding next to the Mini and behind the Fiasco?

Yes, it was but it was in much better shape than most there.

If I go back I'll get a pic.
