People said that of Nick Mason when he bought his Ferrari 250 GTO for £35,000 in 1977! wink
Yes he must be kicking himself for not buying one 10 years earlier for £3,500. biggrin

Still, he's done alright out of it, and has made good use of it too.

No, but a rare sight compared with some other versions. And well looked after

E-Type Munster Mobile.

Would that be a V12?

I can't look at that without hearing John Barry's doom laden theme tune in a minor key echoing round my grey cells - love it!

Yes it's a V12. A flash git teacher at my school used to have a red convertible V12 that we all wished we could get the keys to. Sadly we weren't able to wangle it.

And that’s being polite. The proportions, rake of the screen and gopping grille are just awful.

The front indicators also do it no favours in comparison to the beauties on the Series 1.

Probably, but not necessarily. A few - very very few - series 3 cars had straight six engines.

I don't think I had ever seen a Tickford Capri in real life, so was delighted to see this one at a petrol station in Stoke On Trent this afternoon.

The owner told me that it was one of three that he owned and this particular one has been his for over twenty years.

I followed one in Leeds a few months back.
It was identical to that one, except for the C4PRL number plate.

To be fair, it didn't look particularly nice at the time...

It had a steering wheel that I reckon was the inspriation of the Porsche Carrera GT 20 years later.

Have to agree. The standard 2.8 Capri was (is) a great looking car. AM/Tickford ruined it.
