Looks like the cover was on due to the fact the windscreen is broken/missing? Appears that the cover goes into a gap?Been in the driveway a couple of weeks in suburban Derby. Reckon it's a salvage car. Don't they remove number plates when they are sold for parts?

As for Yank barges in Cornwall, Classic & Sports Car profiled a few years ago a chap down there who was running a mid-60s Lincoln Continental, one of the biggest of the Yank land yachts. His philosophy was "If a tractor can fit, so can this", with which you can't really argue, I suppose.
