Nipped to Tesco (run out of dog fud) and this rather lovely Viva HB was in the car park. Must be pretty rare nowadays even back in the day they seemed to disappear pretty quickly when the HC came out.
That reminds me of one I saw at the Croxley Green classic car show recently - it belongs to a mate of a mate!

It has a Vauxhall red-top engine with throttle bodies and a few other tweaks - sounds fantastic, but maybe not for the purist. laugh

Nice had a couple of those years ago. Rare to see an unmolested one.

They were inside. Properly low seating position and no traction control with a lethal turbo. I’m off to autotrader.

Checked autotrader only 2 available. And not cheap. I miss a 200sx. Mission underway. Got more chance of finding one of them then a Renault Fuego. My childhood wonder car. If anyone finds a Fuego I’m in.

This was a couple of weeks ago but I was stuck in a traffic jam of Capris, whilst in my Capri!

Ok I was going to a Capri event, so not really a surprise, quite cool though.
Simply wunderbar!

Spotted in Anglesey yesterday, a Maserati Mistral Spyder. Chatted briefly to the owners who were heading back south after touring around Scotland including the NC500, and also the Yorkshire dales. I commented that I'd never seen one before; apparently they only made 14 of them which would explain why! Lovely thing.

Colt Starion - another ‘80s car I aspired to, now virtually extinct. 944 and Excel, with which it was directly comparable - how many would you like?

If you're happy to sit on the wrong side, €8,500 will get you this feisty torquesteertastic Turbo.

There’s a dead one in a field next to the railway line at Tinsley Green, West Sussex.

Renault Fuego, that stirs memories! In the mid 80s I was running Renault's retail outlet in St Martins Lane. There was a tale that one of these had rolled off the quayside whilst being unloaded and was at the bottom of the deep water dock. It was quickly decided that, as they were almost impossible to sell, it would be better to leave it there and claim on the insurance. I remember taking a Turbo home one night, it was the most wheezy, gutless object on four wheels and I never drove another!

At a car show in Northern Ireland today - a rat-look Austin Metropolitan with modified bodywork and sporting a Mazda MX5 motor.

Whilst we're about it, when did you last see a Panther Rio?
