Think this could be the plane in question,
It was once a restaurant in Trafford park.

Years ago there used to be one I saw regularly round my way, same colour but I think it had the matt black bonnet treatment. The owner also had a yellow Mach 1 for a while, both kept on his drive as his garage was too small!Boss number one, January '69... no doubt a great time to be of driving age with money in your pocket...
Just found these period gems...

Not a high quality image this but a historical one - Ford top brass geezer Lee Iacocca fuels up a production ready Mustang during a pre-launch jaunt in 1964, something he did quite often to test the public's reaction, in the background to his right a woman is taking a photo of the new baby Ford...

Clint Eastwood goes up in my estimation once again. I think he has an old Mercedes 560SEC as a daily, and he's owned a BB Boxer. What a hero.
I love sixties/early seventies Yank metal, from the lowly '71 Ford Galaxie 500 (they're so Dirty Harry) to the 1960 Coupe DeVille with cars like the 69/70 Barracuda and Challenger in between, 69-72 Mustangs (more than the early ones) and even a nicely modded early 2 door Ford Pinto. 1949 Cadillac Sedanette, 1962 Lincoln Continental (sedan), 1968 Eldorado, early Buick Regal, a 1963/4 Thunderbird and the later coffin nose version - where would you stop?
If I had a collection of 50 cars, at least 20 would be American.
