Just found this shot of my second P6 which I owned in 2007 / 08, bought from a guy in High Wycombe who was a serial P5 / P6 buyer, I never did get round to fitting some proper period plates to replace the cheap pressed alloy ones....
It still had the original plates on before I bought it....

I remember walking past one of those as a kid and wondering why it sounded better than the other cars in the queue. It still had the original plates on before I bought it....

Later I was to discover that it was because of something called a V8.

Not mine but my nipper’s ongoing project.
It’s a V12
Just back from paint. Already converted to manual, uprated suspenders and PAS valved. Plus loads more.
And loads more to go. Wheels are not staying. Only on for sizing.
Oh and a saucy exhaust. Sounds epic.

I do like that although a bit more tyrewall would be my preference. What gearbox has he/she used for the conversion? It’s a V12

My dad bought a new Rover 2000TC P6 when they first came out. Absolutely beautiful car compared with previous 101 Victors etc!
Your dad owned a lot of cars!Knew nothing about mechanics. Always told my mum that the back axle was going so had to change the car...... again!
Ming you, I am ahead of him!

Gearbox. I can’t recall. It’s the one used in the 3.6. Getrac iirc

I bought a 1973 Mexico Brown P6B 3500S in 1979 and my cousin had a 1972 Cameron Green 3500 Auto as his dad had got a new MK4 Cortina company car!
I loved my P6B, well apart from the rust.

Yes agreed it’s a bit Wagon Wheeled. That’s why he’s changing to 17” 10x17 up back with 275.

Agree with you/him about the wheels. Gearbox. I can’t recall. It’s the one used in the 3.6. Getrac iirc
Gearbox wise some early V12s were offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox, but I'm not sure who made it.
A mate of a mate used to race a manual V12 - until he blew the engine up.
