Those things are not compatible with leaves.
If you park one in sight of a tree, leaves will block the heater air intake plenum drain.
Unfortunately, the 'body computer' lives in there, and it can't swim.
A mate had one.
It was a nice quiet car on the motorway at 70-something, but every journey, a different bit of plastic fell off.
It wasn't very old at the time, but spares were already a problem.
Audis also suffer from the leaves in the plenum thing, so not just old Rovers. If you park one in sight of a tree, leaves will block the heater air intake plenum drain.

An industrial designer friend of mine explained the snappy plastic thing. Apparently some manufacturers add talc (or something like to the plastic, to make it go further (ie save cost) The boding between the polymer and the filler breaks down and the components snap. Upscale manufacturers use 'pure' plastic which doesn't have the weak molecular bonds so lasts longer.
At least that's how I remember it, may be total bks and if any materials experts here know the truth I'd be interested to know.

Judging by the shape a church of some kind; the lumpy part to the right looks like a pullpit.

Like this sad Aston Martin at England's creepiest hotel. Close up, its in pretty rough condition.
The owner is an "artist" who lives with the wierdo Anglo-Kazakh couple who own the pile, flying their Q-flag from the top on occasion. If you are a middle aged lady, the artist will give you a personal tour of his dungeon/art exhibit, while trying to sell you some rather poor quality art featuring somewhere a single eye. Oh, and they are Scientologists, though I'm sure a totally innocent pursuit. The Aston Martin is normally parked on the unused helicopter pad built for a former US President to use during a golfing holiday. He never came, but they visited him.

That place is a right dump I booked to stay there when it was owned by a previous set of owners, it was like a converted asylum inside! We checked in and could not believe how bad it was (apart from being in an amazing location).I had driven 5 hours from London and it was getting late so was not too happy to then have to find some where else to stay at the last minute. OK luckily I hadn't flown in by helicopter (that would have been really annoying) I was only in a BMW!
edited to add I just had a look at some reviews on TA funny to see it sounds just as bad now not much has changed in 20 years other than the prices have gone up.
