HA vans brings back memories of my early days as a train drivers assistant, BR had 1000's of these and as a train crew we would occasionally be taken to collieries or sidings in the wheeltappers van. Back seat was a couple of planks, you would be sitting among couplings, brake blocks, airpipes and tools. At least one of us would have a scolding hot mashing can full of tea, usually on the floor between your legs! The guard would always have a small bottle of paraffin for the tail lamps and there would be a least one fag on. The carnage if we'd had an accident is unthinkable, still the hot tea would put the fire out! Oh and everywhere in 3rd.

There's a window cleaner near me who used to use a triumph 2000 and now uses a Morris, dad's triumph vitesse is used more for the tip run than any of the other cars.

The boot had another window and all the double-glazed units in it. There was a good reason for this mission, it was the only car that had old-fashioned gutters which my roofrack would fit...

The strange thing is, I didn't like them when they were new, but I wouldn't mind having one in the garage now.
