but not an all girl band. Shirley Manson (ex goodbye Mr Mckenzie) was the only woman in the line up.

neither elastica nor sleeper were all-girl either, they had blokes in (probably to carry their stuff)

I have 'The It Girl' by Sleeper, great album. Sale of the Century is easily the best track on it.

Sadly the third album was geared towards mainstream dross and inevitably led to the band's down fall.

And as far as I remember, Louise Wener was the only girl in the band.

I really must dig out my indie CD's again and relive my pogoing teenage years.
