American Psycho where he stabs the homeless guy then stamps on his dog
The stuff he does in the book is way more graphic, probably too sick to be filmed...

The final scene from Blackadder Goes Forth.

It's pure comedy all the way, then turns serious about going over the top and then Poppies......

Gives me goosebumps, just thinking about it.
Very moving.

Also the last bit of se7en. I just remember watching it and thinking no, oh fk no, there was absolutely no need to do that to me.

For me its just about any scene in Schindlers List, especially those with that delightful Nazi, Amon Göth http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amon_G%C3%B6th , though he does show his tender side with his jewess slave, Natalia. It must be great existing day to day knowing you can be raped and/or killed on a whim at any minute in time for no reason whatsoever. He only let her off because she was a "pet" jew, a tamed animal no less, and not a "proper" jew. He had plenty of pissed up intellectual discussions in his sick mind to try and pass this off with his Nazi doctrine. It all spun on a penny either way.

To me, she must of had the most chilling existence of anyone in that camp. Most others got away with random murder, but at least only ventured before Amons gaze a couple of times a week.

Most of the other film scenes mentioned are just made up Hollywood nonsense. The chilling facts of history are far worse than any supernatural baddies can ever be frown

House on Haunted Hill (1999)

The first 15 minutes, the violence was so graphic. It was only the second time I nearly walked from the cinema.

I also found Reservoir Dogs very disturbing.
Some otherd that come to mind

The scene in Wicker Man (orig.version) where he is sacrificed

The opening scene in Jaws. Made me jump

The "squeal like a pig" scene in Deliverance

Good quote from Wiki:
The executioner twice miscalculated the length of rope necessary to hang Göth, and it was only on the third attempt that the execution was successful.

Clever executioner - shame he could have done it 4 or 5 times more!

Final scene in se7en for me as well, never heard such shocked silence in a cinema!

I'm sure there are other films that have shocked me but for some reason this is the scene that I always think of when this quetion comes up.

All the killings in casino at the end.. something chilling about them digging there graves and then being shot in the back of the head into the hole..
It was worse than you remember. They beat the Santoro brothers almost to death with baseball bats, made sure they were still breathing, then buried them alive.

Agreed. Think I've mentioned it on here before but I absolutely loved that film, such a clever plot, and twisties that I had no idea were around the corner. Stunning.

The worst part of that scene is when his bloody mess of a brother starts moaning incoherently

The scourging scene in The passion of the christ. Especially when the Roman general orders them to stop, then, with a turn of his hand orders them to do the other side!

Wosss in the boxxxxxxx?? I found that fairly amusing. Which is wierd as although I love films with plots I am too much of a wuss to watch SAW!

I think the bit in Blair Witch where they are in the tent and there is something outside, still can't watch that film again to this day.

SAW is actually not that scarey, and also on the scheme of things isnt that gory.

Not giving away any spoiler I hope but...

Its more atmospheric and raises the question 'what would you given the choice of x or y', and the plot has some stunning twists which left me gobsmacked each time.

For me the whole of the film Kids was pretty shocking. First time I watched it I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing/hearing. It's a very well acted film, by kids, which makes it all the harder to watch. Nothing really gory or gross, just disturbingly realistic.

You see horrific violence in films all the time which you just sit and watch without caring, but that bit in 'The Big Lebowski' where the police chap throws the coffee cup at The Dude's head is the only time I've thought, 'that must really hurt'!

The g/f suggested that we watch that a week back - she hid her head under the pillows before that seen, truly, truly sickening. But still an absolutely fantastic film.
