Sharia Law for UK Muslims?

Didn’t read thread but it’s not going to happen. So why let it piss you off?
Yes, I think that is the key point. Well said.
Straw poll by sensationalist journalist leads to usual PH outrage, trotting out the same old arguments ("They wouldn't allow it in Saudi so why should we?"). Besides, what has what one group of people would allow got to do with what the British would allow? We are not children in a playground.
And another thing, strangely enough not all Muslims are Saudi. And (surprise surprise) not all Muslims look up to them...
Muslims already live their lives in Britain according to their beliefs (which is a credit to British tolerance and governance) and often carry out judgements within their own community related to divorce, marriage, inheritance, and so on, as already mentioned.
You lot should stop worrying - I do not foresee a future where you get your hands chopped off for doing 100 in a NSL.

we might need a few more prisons though to house all the lifers
All I said was "that piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah."

Ah but only because it was wrapped in Muslim cloth

Talking of Jedi's at the last census I declared my religion as Jedi along with many thousands of others. In fact so many voted that by law it should have been declared a religion. The Government neatly stepped round it by putting Jedis in with 'other religion'
Jedi Piccy
Urban legend... sort of.
Takes more than a few thousand Jedis in the census to set up a religion. I believe (though prepare to stand corrected) that a religion must be recognised by the Charities Commission and be shown to have a following, structure and beliefs.
Jedi Knight was only officially listed as a response to a question on the census, nothing more.
Got your facts a bit twisted there - religious organisations only need to be recognised by the Charity Commission if they want to be a Charity in their own right.
100,000 souls claiming to worship an entity are needed for the Government to recognise an organisation as religion.
390,000 souls declared themselves to follow the Jedi religion in the 2001 Census.
In Australia, Jedi worshippers were threatened with fines if the declared it on their census forms!

Interesting thought, what would the Saudi government do if the Pope crash landed??
Hey a question I can answer
They would credit him with the occupation of carpenter.
(It's what they do with visiting clergy, incidently the Queen on her visit was made an honorable man)
Yes I know, I'm full of useless c**p.
