Still crap, hurry up I want to watch the next programme.

I hope they cancel it and show paint drying instead, that would be far more exciting, and could probably present better.

Why are they doing the stunt plane again when it's been done already?confused
But did they do it the last time? I think thats how it works, each of them have to the same thing each time.

my god!!

well done to fifthgear producers i say, they managed to make Vroom Vroom look like intellectual entertainment, and the whitterings of westwood on pimp my bride into something i would look forward to.

an hour long, bloody hell, ten minutes would have been long enough to get all they had to say in.

at least i managed to get the washing up done.

I found myself looking forward to the adverts. 6 minutes in and the best part of the show was found.

utter tripe. if i am not doing something more interesting next week, blowing spit bubbles or watching paint dry i might try it next week but only as a deep and desperate need to watch car shows exists, and nothing at all to do with the utter crap they just showed on there.

*Stare*

I would call it car crash TV if that werent a) tasteless given current recent events and b) the prog seemed to have little to do with cars. Just a couple of woodentops sat at a table in a cafe, not eating, drinking or doing anything at all really.

5 Minutes of adverts, 4 minutes of programme, closing credits. Continuity announcer wishing Hamster well. They couldn't even be bothered to do a proper insert edit!

I'll watch ANYTHING on cars but that was unbearable. I went and read my daughter a story half way through. She knows what I'm like with car shows and thought I must have had some kind of breakdown.

I´d rather eat my own ear wax than watch again next week even though Freddy will be on.
Truly truly plummeting to new depths of dross.
If the busy boby do gooders want to cancel a car show please oh please make it this steaming pile of human excrement.

Come on hamster get your arse out of bed asap and rescue us all.

It was truly terrible- SKY+ed it and then watched about 10 mins, mostly the Tom Ford bit as he's generally amusing but then other than the car having a big stereo (somewhat!) it wasn't a feature about cars at all yet was the most entertaining bit...

Oh, and that annoying chap (who I think does/did write for Lax Power magazine) with the Merc tried to keep it street but throwing in the odd bit of pre-teen language into his dull, dull feature.

Shame as it seemed like it was on the up last season but it has truly reached a new low.

The new "home" of Fifth Gear is the Ace - it's where VBH and Twatman are spouting at each other.

Wonder what happened to Plato?[/quote]

I think Plato must have read the script and said thanks but no thanks, he does after-all have a modicum of sense.

I must say, I am sitting here wondering how the hell they could have got it so wrong. The last series started to improve towards the end and I thought that maybe, just maybe, they would improve with this series. How wrong can one be?

I can't imagine where they got the idea for fast car vs stunt plane around a track.

£225,000 raised so far for the Hambulance seems like a bargain if it gets RH back on the screen even a week earlier!

What What What the hell was that? Dear god the producers must have been stupid and blind to approve that!

What happened. After a long long time they had finally got that program to an acceptable tv program! Anyone see the last episode of 5th gear last series with a Ferrari Enzo and Maclaren F1? That was good, that was what I wanted to see.

Also why would they get rid of plato (unless he chose to go and if that is the case then well done plato, good timing!!) he was good. The girls allowd episode was good and the F430 review he did was brilliant, much better than top gears review!!

Roll on October 8th and (hopefully) the start of the new Top Gear series, as long as the BBC have the balls to proceed. All the best hampster

Tim L why?

Guy with spiky hair.....couldn't present a cup.

Cafe location....even worse than the open plan office.

Al Gore........confused

A poverty of ideas and nothing to sate the jaded appetite.

I'll watch it next week - but only if I can find some rotten fruit to throw at the telly.

That sounds nearly as irritating as having the two pricks from Big Brother (Nicky with the brains of an eight-year-old and a hyperactive gay tt) on the Red Bull air race programme.

I heard rumours fifth gear was going to be postponed following Hamster's crash - now I know why they didn't even think about doing it:

Fifth Gear isn't a motoring program. It is a farce.

This is terrible, really, what is the point?

I've noticed that on a lot of TV over the past year or there abouts. SO annoying, especially when you start to notice it. No idea where it's come from although I think it's the presenters trying to dramatise everything which of course only gets us used to dramatic stuff and so they have to do it more and more to make any impact. In fact they aren't making impact or sounding dramatic - they just sound stupid.

hehe

I love the fact that only your second post in nearly 3 and a half years was to say how bad it was! Channel 5 should know about this.
