Depends on what you're expecting.
If you're expecting a quality item that will last you years, then don't buy it.
If you want something cheap that does more or less what it says on the tin then go for it.
In automotive terms, F.V furniture is like a Citroen. Cheap, not that well made and lots of people buy it because of the offers they use to flog it.
Oh and don't hold your breath on that 12-14 week lead time. It may happen, but chances are you'll wait longer than that.
You pays your money.....

If you want something that will last then you may want to try natuzzi - www.natuzzi.co.uk
We've got one of their corner sofas and armchair - slightly more expensive at a touch under 3 grand but well worth it. Massive choice of colours and also leather grades which can bring the price down a lot (we went for a high grade hence some of the high cost)

We spent a long couple of days last November looking for a 3-piece suite. Went to Land of Leather, Harveys, DFS, Klaussner, Peter Green and a few others. Didn't really find anything that ticked all the boxes. Ended up a Furniture Village where we found one that was ideal. Got a reasonable deal (10% off, gave them 20% deposit, paying for the rest over 30-months interest free). It was delivered in around 5 weeks (as promised). The delivery team arrived punctually, but had to remove the largest pane in the lounge window to get the sofa into the house. They did this without complaint, and put everything back properly afterwards. The suite looks good, is comfortable, and seems to be of reasonable quality. My power recliner works fine (which is all I'm really bothered about). So in summary, I'd say go for it.
One word of warning for anyone wanting a recliner: Don't buy one unless you've sat on the reclining version of a particular chair, i.e. the exact thing you're going to buy. We found that the recliners aren't always as comfortable as the fixed versions, as they generally have less springing/padding, and this put us off quite a number of suites.

Which recliner did you go for? I'm in the market for a couple of sofas too, and toying with the idea of a power recliner cinema style chair like this
Also, has anyone got any experience of Marks and Spencer sofas? Are they any good?

Go to Wharfside and get an Ekornes 'Stressless' Recliner - they're extremely well made and have a 10 year guarantee. I've got a 3 seater, ottoman and chair in my gaff and they're spot on. Not cheap but well worth it if you want comfort and durability.

We went for the power recliner in the Cannes range:

would say Furniture Village stocks slightly better stuff than such as DFS, SCS etc. But you really need to go and try it out as we're hunting for relatively cheap leather sofas at the moment (we have a cat and an 18 month old terrorist) and we've been very disappointed by anything under a grand. We're resigned to fact we need to spend £1800 for a two and three seater set.
