But surely thats the address they sent the notification to, doesn't mean I was the driver at the time.
I( can always put the new car in my wife's name, that should sort it. Unless they stop me and I'm driving...

This has already been discussed. The fine is sent to the registered owner. If you had lent our car to someone else I am sure it will prove your friendship is sound when you receive the fine and give it to him to pay. Just received the sixth in the post this morning.
Seems wrong somehow to be receiving another more than six weeks after the last for an offence that took place at more or less the same time. Poor justice in my view.
I don't suppose many of us will be venturing over there any time soon but make sure you keep your wits about you when you do.

My son has had 2 requests to pay a French speeding fine from last March. Both letters were just in French language.
His second request arrived yesterdaay. He has since sold the car he was driving and moves house next week.
I think he is safe to ignore, wonder what the position is post Brexit with the DVLA giving out data to the EU? Hopefully, we will no longer aid the French scamerati, costing the UK taxpayer in the process.

If it is a mobile camera, yes, you'll be fined on the spot. These letters that drop through your letterbox are from fixed cameras with no BiB present. so, if you are naughty, they'll keep on coming.lowdrag said:

That’s interesting. A few weeks ago, I spotted a mobile one, in time, on the autoroute between Lyon and Clermont, near Vichy (very sneakily positioned, too) but I never saw the patrol car that would do the pulling in. Presumably it was an unmarked one.
