TIS-PL tag for French motorways
Discussion
Hi
This tag is the one for use with Class 3 and 4 vehciles and not the Liberty-tag that folks with cars use. I already have one of those but my new (to me) motorhome is just (5cm) over the 3.0m height limit![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
Does anyone on here use one of these for their vehicle? It is for use with vehicles over 3.5t and/or 3.0m in height.
If you do could you possibly just report back and let me know how it works out for you cost wise?
I guess Class 3 toll charges are higher anyway plus the company Eurotoll, who I found who sell these also mark up tolls by 7%!!
Cheers![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Having recently rented on of these leviathans for Le Mans Classic, my recommendation would be to use the route national network. It will save you a fortune in tolls and fuel. It will also reduce the white knuckle effect on your family as they are not exactly stable at 130kph.
You will also get to see a lot more of real France; it is not as though you will be held up by slow moving traffic, you will be doing the holding up and so you will have a nice clear view up front.
Bon voyage.
