What is the DB limit for Zolder? I believe it is recorded on a drive by? I have no idea what mine would be.

My car is 106 DB's stationery

I hope you can help

From the entry form.

Cars with a sound intensity of more than 95 dB(A) will be removed from the track by track officials!

Does anyone no what 106DB will be on a drive by?

Don't suppose its much help but I was black flagged twice last year with a de-catted Tamora but with a standard silencer @ 98 decibels

Just ordered myself of track friendly cans for the Sagaris so I should be ok, they will take three weeks to get made and delivered.

Hi Paul, my Sag tested 99dB on a static test (3500rpm / 1m) at Nurburgring last year but had no issue at Zolder. I have since de-catted Sag and have ordered a set of Quiet Tails from Tim at ACT. Fingers crossed they come in time!

See you at Zolder,

Cheers, Neil

lAST YEAR I GOT KICKED OFF BY THE 'SMILING ASS ASSIN' FOR BEING TOO NOISY
(0.2db OVER LIMIT)
THEN I TOOK A GOOD MATE'S RAPID VIXEN OUT FOR FASTEST LAP & HE GOT ME AGAIN !

I HAVE AN OLD 3000S WHICH I SPRINT & HILLCLIMB.
LAST YEAR WHEN I WAS COMPETING AT VARIOUS VENUES, RECORDED NOISE WAS 105db AT 1 METRE.
TO AVOID A REPEAT THIS YEAR, I SPENT FORTUNE ON FULL SYSTEM FROM MANIFOLDS BACK, EVEN GOT SILENCED TAILPIPES NOW.
AT SAME EVENTS THIS YEAR, I AM NOW 92db
ZOLDER IS A BELTING CIRCUIT, ONE FOR THE BRAVE, MAKE IT QUIET - SEE U THERE

I CAN GUARANTEE THAT IF YOU ARE OVER THE DRIVE BY LIMIT ON BACK SIDE OF CIRCUIT, YOU WILL GET A WARNING. NEXT TIME, SMILER WILL HAVE YOU OFF !!!
HAVING SAID ALL THAT, ALL UK CIRCUITS ARE GOING SAME WAY,
IT COULD BE END OF CROFT (though I very much hope it is not.
COPPERS HEAR YOU AFORE THEY SEE YOU, MAKE IT QUIET,
NO MORE HEADACHES AFTER A LONG MOTORWAY DRIVE EITHER !

I came to the conclusion, many years ago, that style was better than noise.

Plus, I don't drive anywhere near fast enough hehe

There was a thread last year but I have not looked for it about Db levels. I am sure TVR_Owner has a view on this so please correct me if I am wrong but if you are say 103 static then drive by will be about 93? I do not know what my car gives out since I had the standard cans on it last year and they are quieter than the carbon cans. The carbon cans are 103 so the others must be about 100, I had no issues with the 95 drive by so it reduces by at least 5Db.

My Sagaris was always around 100-101 static and had no problem at all at Zolder. Not sure what the actual difference between static and drive by would be though.

I found that the best way is to be close to "Number 7" while passing the two measuring points, so when he gets black flagged redcard , you stay out. driving

This 98 db, was this what you were 'drive by' or static and you were measured elsewhere? What silencers were you using as 'standard'? Thanks S

98db was drive-by, same each time. I has PDQ decats and standard Tamora back box. Had got add-ons for this year but redundant now!

I was on track this morning. PDQ "quick" decats and ACT track rear cans 95/96DB the could not get it totally spot on due to the exhaust being on both sides.
