Hi Rich,
Unfortunate, but history has proven that my comment is factual - sadly

just to balance the arguement

LM is cheaper through the club than commercially

but reading the thread so far they will have to cover the cost of bank transfer so this will, as you say, make it marginally more expensive?

A bank transfer shouldn't be more than £20. If there are more than 20 cars going from the UK, then that is less than £1 each. Last year it cost us £22 more than our Dutch friends cos someone was less than generous with the exchange rate

I've not decided whether I'm going this year as it's two weeks after Woodwork, but chances are I'll see thee in the Heerlen bar as usual, John.

Ask them or you can pay in pounds, the Dutch club will go to England with about 20 cars this summer.
Then they need pounds.

Bookimg form was out late last year as info needed for the booking form arrived very late.

We cover admin costs and mitigate the exchange risk - no more.

But we do have to account for VAT on the accommodation.

Pardon my ignorance, but does that mean that vat is paid in the UK and Holland?

Yes and no, sorry about that, yes VAT is paid in the NL on the package, but if a profit is made in GB the VAT is payable on that element, also corporation tax, however, in saying that, there should be no accountable profit as the small amount that the club adds to the cost of the package is swallowed up by the admin and banking costs.

Laurence

P.S.

If you need more info on this subject then please go direct to the TVRCC treasurer.
