With the help of a friend, we carried out some noise tests and I was surprised by the outcome. The test was to see the difference in drive by compared with static. The drive by was carried out on both sides of the road, ie close and not so close, and the results were that there was no noticeable difference between the two methods of measuring. I always thought that drive by would give a lower reading but that did not show on the road. Maybe with a wider track it may make a difference but I bet it would only be a db, not much more.

Anyone else carried such a test or knows a more scientific way of measuring? Posted in general to see if any technical experts come along.

Thanks

I found that the best way is to be close to "Number 7" while passing the two measuring points, so when he gets black flagged redcard , you stay out. driving
