YRRunner - You can book through the Dutch Car Club at http://www.tvrcarclub.nl/dw_orderform2/form2011.ph... and there probably should be a special rate, but there ain't. Or google Van Der Valk, Heerlen and go direct.
BlackiePaul - So what could be better than blatting around Holland, Germany and Belgium in June?

James, do you know what you are right. Just booked it on the site. I will be there on the Thursday afternoon / evening and leave first thing Saturday morning to pick Samantha up from Dusseldorf Airport. We will spend a couple of days over there before coming back. Not many of the usual lads going this year as we are meeting up in Spa later on.See you there. Paul.....
Ha-ha Paul, sounds like I must have really twisted your arm!!! I was speaking to Dom Trickett last week and he's thinking of going from the Midlands.
If you don't want to do too much driving on the Saturday, I can really recommend Dusseldorf for a Saturday and a night out. BlackieSam will like the shops and you'll both like the Altstadt & Rhine area http://www.booking.com/hotel/de/steigenberger-park...

Just had to book flights to go to the USA this weekend so I will not be at Zolder
I am really upset about this but I have no choice, Samantha is not too impressed either as we have a flight booked for her so I could meet her on Saturday to start a little break away for us.
I have mailed the TVR team to apologise, I was only telling Baz on Saturday that I was going.
Have a great time

Everybody getting warm for Zolder?
Did my preparations today: cleaned the car and wanted to fit the connection for a tickle charger. Started as a simple job, but lost a nut somewhere, tried to get it out but things got worse... car didn't start anymore and I leaked the contents of my battery into the footwell
Just got everything allright and checked the weather for Friday: RAIN!!
What a luck, my wife accidentally had some raintyres fitted to the car (they were the only in the right size)
Must admit she is right this time (I said I couldn't drive on a circuit with those tyres).
Hope we will still have some fun...

I'll stick it in to this one, been reading the "Zolder times" thread from last year...
Zolder IS very strict on noise regulations, limit is 95dbA drive by. Measuring points are right after the bridge over the entrance (on the right), and I believe they relocated the one that used to be at the exit of the Bianchi (the turn before the 2nd straight) to the end of the straight, right before the chicane.
Reason they're so strict is that there is a guy who came to live next to the circuit who's really annoying with regards to infractions. Even has his own measuring equipment... Irony of it all: before he was retired, he used to make lots of noise in his F16 himself...
Anyway, hope to see some of you guys on Friday afternoon, I'll be there, but in the RR Sport (neatly tucked away from the TVRs).

Hi Pascal,
Last time i was there (over a year ago) the sound level checks were just after Bianchi (left side) and at Bolderberg (right side). Would be good to know the current position, as i plan to lift the gas a little there to prevent being pulled over. I have fitted the standard cans, the CCC's would certainly be too loud.
Hope to see you on friday.
Regards,
Maurice (plate: 38LJB1)

Gutted, I didn't make it, work came in between, just got back home now...
Maurice: I think you'll have noticed that these days they are near the entrance of the chicane, and right behind the entry bridge (bump before the 90 degree righthander).
Hope you all had a great time nevertheless, I just finished working now...

A shame indeed. Would have been nice to see you there. But at least you didn't have to stand there and watch everyone else go round the track and have fun, whilst not being able to yourself. Like me!
They noticed I had a collapsed engine mount so wasn't allowed on the track. I'm glad they noticed though!!
