Disappearing Europa
Discussion
In the Netherlands there is also a nice one for sale, with almost 350hp
ok the price might be a bit tuned as well, but it could be a blast.

Only 100'ish of those 450+ cars were destined for the UK. The rest are overseas in Europa and Asia/Australia (none for the US, didn't meet regs)
Only 4 SE's in the UK - and at least one was just a factory conversion from the S
They were available in the US. The S2, TC and TC Special were all sold over here. When I was a kid, I used to press my nose against the Lotus dealer's front window!Only 4 SE's in the UK - and at least one was just a factory conversion from the S
Yes, the original 1970s Europa was a big seller for Lotus in the US. I think the majority of all Europas produced were for the US market.
However, AFAIK the 2000s Europa was never produced in a Federalised version. Essentially a 50/50 VX220/Elise hardtop it was only built in very small numbers, using up old stock parts from Vauxhall VX220. If had been a sales success one imagines a ToyoRopa would have followed, but that wasn't the case. IIRC Europa cost around £35k at a time when an Elise could be bought for £25k and this undoubtedly discouraged customers.

This is a nice thread. I would've posed exactly the same question as the OP. Don't know much about Lotus and don't care too much for them, but the Europa just makes me think of man+ car+enjoyable A/B/D/N road, road trip!
Edit: The 340R is also fascinating to me. It turns out that I have just never been fortunate enough to drive a Lotus!

I found this thread while searching for information on my Europa S and I immediately thought: finally other Europa S owners!
I am French and I own a 2008 Lotus Europa S... which was imported by its previous owner from Scotland. As a consequence, it has the wheel on the right side of the car
It's a full stock one that only has 34k miles and it's not perfect (would need at least a front mask and spoiler paint job), but I love it!
By any chance, do you happen to know a reseller for Europa S parts? I searched for one selling brand new door seals last year without success... mine are aging, and they would need to be replaced.
Also, if someone has it I am searching for the complete service notes PDF file: I already have one but it is incomplete and misses the sub-section BT where is explained the door glass adjustment procedure.
Cheers!
The facebook owners club is quite good, a few of the guys there are always selling off bits and pieces. I am French and I own a 2008 Lotus Europa S... which was imported by its previous owner from Scotland. As a consequence, it has the wheel on the right side of the car
