So far the lemons encountered during the build have all turned into lemonade...
The recent addition of the 245/40/17 front tires filled the wheel perfectly from a side view but once the car was lowered a quick peek told the cold fact, there was no clearence to the lowered front clam between the two inch taller and two inch wider tires.
So now comes the lemonade.
The deck fender gate has gone up from 1" to 2" and moved in 2" on each side to give the front tires all the room they need underneath.
So my lemonade will be better front aero down force at lower speeds..
Here is a stock 211 vs mine..

Incredible amount of work going into this project, top marks.
Can I ask, once you have the items fettled in foam, it looks like you then resin over to harden the form. Do you then disolve the foam away behind and glass fibre to stiffen the form? It's a great way to the modified body work, does it have a negative impact on weight, or are your clams still reasonable?

Looks a bit mad max that. Handy for mowing down pedestrians.
I'm amazed what you lot can get away with over there.

Thanks, the foam is almost weightless and can be left in place for something like the gurney. When used to reshape the front fenders for clearence, once shaped and covered in carbon fiber the under side is then cut away and you are left with the outer shell.... The entire rear clam was built this way..
As for the canards...get the hell out of my way you pesky rabbit...

You can buy similar here for the Exige. Looks a bit mad max that. Handy for mowing down pedestrians.

They just look less drastic because there's more bodywork below them - obviously the 211 has a big cut out underneath them in that photo, so makes them look a lot more noticeable.
The ones from Reverie and on Junk's old car (I believe):

Plus I don't think a few extra KGs would blunt the performance too much Can I ask, once you have the items fettled in foam, it looks like you then resin over to harden the form. Love the progress!
