This is the one I went for

www.octane.ie/cult/forum/attachmen

(I haven't figured out how to post pictures on here yet.)

I hope to have it here by Friday evening, just waiting for a clean bill of health from the HPI check.

VRT are going to love to see me coming...

STUNNING...can't wait for the first Irish PH meet!

A,

What is it that makes us like yellow cars ?

You seem to be as bad as I am.

Must be from watching the middle bit of the hurling jerseys when we were kids, eh

Yeah, they do sound the business.

They must be one of the best sounding cars of the lot.

I'm curious to see what the neighbours have to say about the sound, though.

One good thing is that I live in the countryside so I won't be waking up a housing estate of people if I decide we need a litre of milk at 3 in the morning (when the roads are quiet and the 24-hour shop is 25km away) ...

That's stunning .. It's going to cut some dash on the M50!!

I can look forward to the heat building up in it while I'm in the queue for the toll plaza.

It should sound good in the Jack Lynch tunnel too.

Well wear and watch the back end of it I'll look up the details of the club if your interested for you once i return home after the weekend! Happy motoring

Yeah, let me know the details of that club.

Somehow I don't think the membership numbers will be massive .....

And I look forward to seeing your new toy once you get it.

The only one I 've had a decent look at was the one on Cannonball last year, and they do look and sound the business.

And just as frightening when approaching you at speed! It should give people that little bit of extra notice that they should get out of the fast lane NOW and make way for a properly fast car.

They should just have fitted forward-facing exhausts, that would have made sure people knew it was coming .....

......... Hows it going so far?

I'm still waiting for the V5.

Probably won't have the car for a couple of weeks yet.

I'm off to Rome on Saturday to a mates wedding so nothing is going to happen 'til I get back.

With a bit of luck the paperwork will be sorted when I come home, a couple of ferry trips and I'll be smiling big time.

Their latest estimate (last Friday) was for €5100.00.

I haven't paid anything yet as there are a few things to sort on the car and I want to be sure everything is fine before I clear it, I may sell it back in the UK if I decide to go for a newer one.

Realistically though, I reckon this one will stay.

By the time I convert the money from STG£ to € and add the cost of the VRT it will work out about €25k.

The basic rule of thumb seems to be to multiply the STG£ figure by 2 to get a reasonable idea of the final cost of the cars in €

Oh, and I forgot to mention .................................. I got it.

I collected it last Friday.

Had to raise the suspension a nice bit to save the exhaust and bottom of the car but the ride height seems fine now.

Next job is sort the lights as the dope who fitted them put some of the lamps in at an angle (i.e. the word "Hella" should be horizontal on all the lamps but some of them are slanted and one is even vertical).

It's proving a pig to try to adjust them so they have to come out and be turned, probably tomorrow evening.

The joys of owning a TVR, eh ????????
