Is syvecs suitable for a 4.5 Speed 6?
Discussion
So, 70lb/ft over standard.
Does the Syvecs have the ability to use torque truncation maps in the lower gears, or do you rely purely on the traction control?
I ask primarily because the traction on a standard S6 / T cars is marginal in 1st and 2nd in the dry, and secondly because I'm just interested...

It has gear correction maps so reducing torque in lower gears is easy if you didn't want Traction control Does the Syvecs have the ability to use torque truncation maps in the lower gears, or do you rely purely on the traction control?

Also Charlie had a Graph of another 4.5 on MBE which he digged out to compare against Syvecs.
Just for clarity, as you have used my graph to overlay! My Sag had an issue at the time that has long been rectified, I intend to go back to Charlies for another power run soon, I will post up results

I had the car on Charlie's dyno today, update is here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Hi mate. Very nice. What's great is that the s6 is now genuinely giving the AJP a run for its money. There are some stonking engines out there at last.

It looks a good un, the torque on them 4.5 SuperSports is what i'm after, must feel loads quicker than standard.Cheers fella's, the car is where I expected/wanted it to be now, it feels like a quick car now, I think I will get the ACT airbox in the new year as they can add some power and look very nice , as the engine gets more miles under its belt it feels better and better.
Happy new year guys

So looking at the limited results on the Modified Speed 6 Outputs thread what advantage does the Syvecs system give over the MBE system as D14 AYS's Sag (4.5 Power conversion with MBE) makes 413bhp / 360 lb/ft and Getsis's Tam (4.5 Power conversion with Syvecs) makes 394bhp / 370 lb/ft. Given that Getsis has more mods and a less restrictive exhaust, it seems to me the Syvecs system might be costing him power ?
My Tamora at the moment has the small bore mid section to the back box, this is restricting flow. The Blueflame backbox is only slightly less restrictive than a standard box. When I fit the new exhaust which is the same as a Tuscan 'S' in dia. this will give a bigger HP and a very slight increase in torque. The Syvecs is helping the car run at it's maximum with what's it's got "Safely". Syvecs will retard the engine when knock is sensed through mechanical/fuel problems hence saving the engine from premature wear failure.
Also the RG cats will restrict flow some too, de-catting is needed if I want to get the full HP out of the car but I want to leave the cats in as the extra HP isn't worth the hassel of putting the cats back for the MOT for me.

Getsis..sounds like you already have the new exhaust systems but str8six seem to have a used version of exactly what you need..?Also the RG cats will restrict flow some too, de-catting is needed if I want to get the full HP out of the car but I want to leave the cats in as the extra HP isn't worth the hassel of putting the cats back for the MOT for me.
