Solar trickle charger?
Discussion
Of late, I am just not using my car as much as I used to and unsuprisingly, the battery is dying.
I don't have access to a plug point and I am considering a solar charger which plugs into the cigarette lighter and can then be left on the dash.
Is there any collective wisdom on this? Experiences, reviews, suggestions on brand?

I guess 12 V is correct?
Many thanks.

I bought one around that size,It was completely useless. I think you would need to spend big money to get one that works effectively.

I wonder if it would be possible to run an accumate off one of those rechargable emergency jumpstart packs?

Yes it is, but the amount of time it will charge for is very limited. I have something similar and at best it will run an optimate or the like for around 2.5 days.Like this: http://www.aftermarketsounds.com/6-in-1-power-stat...
