Decat pipe differences

Considering getting some decat pipes for the Tamora (standard 3.6).
● Is there any real performance or sound difference between the "normal" TVR decat pipes compared to the snazzier aftermarket smooth trumpet ones?

I.e. these ones from TVR parts which are essentially normal cat cases but without the materials inside:

(Cheaper, looks like a cat for MOT etc, not so pretty but i cant see them unless jacked up anyway, unlikely to corrode through in the next decade or so)

Or these type ones from ACT or CliveF etc:

(More expensive, marginally better flow?, obviously decatted, stainless looks/lasts better but unlikely to matter for low mileage over the next decade or so and i cant see them anyway)

I now don't know whether I'd be better leaving the cats in and getting a sports exhaust instead! (Definitely don't want decat AND sports exhaust!).
I was planning the decat option to help reduce heat as a bonus, but just not sure now. I suppose I could still try the decats and sell them on without too much financial impact if I dont like it....
Time to start looking at alternative sports exhaust options now too!
