This year I've had two no fault accidents.
Both times the other party admitted liabilty and then changed their story.
I think the way to go is a "black box" dash cam.
Any recomendations ?
I want one that is almost like a race V box which shows speed etc.
Cheers
I bought a Roadhawk, it arrived and I thought oh Ill leave that tonight fit it at weekend, other half crashed my RR intop a car that pulled straight out of as side turn didnt even brake and he argued like hell , no no she was going to fast, every excuse, fortunatly there were witness' and his company have admitted full liability but god would it have been funny to show him the footage, it would also have showed him banging the window and hurling abuse at her !!! He then followed her around for 3 hours with a friend, the police were not really interested !!!Both times the other party admitted liabilty and then changed their story.

Think my mini 0801 has died, keep getting the message "card absent " when it turns on and won't record, just got another card and its the same ... bugger
Sounds like it can't connect to the card, I suppose you've tried cleaning the pins? Hard to reach inside the camera, I guess we need an SD card that's actually a pin cleaner, like we used to get cassette head cleaning cassettes? (Anyone remember them?) Shnozz said:
It's such a shame to read of so many folk investing in one of these after having had an accident.
Wish I'd seen this thread before my purchase, but I'm quite happy with what I chose in the end. In my case I invested in one and only a week later had an accident. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dKyEQpE78k Wasn't serious and at the time I didn't even realise that there had been an impact, so didn't stop. The dashcam footage (and the G-force trace) convinced me that there had in fact been contact. You might notice the sound of the buttons on the dashcam rattling over the speed humps. I contacted the UK distributor and they told me that it was a known issue long ago fixed by DOD. 3 days later I had a new unit delivered - that's customer service for you!
Right as my previous post about purchasing a replacement 0801 I chose this one
But think there might be issues as I think the A7 chip was never fitted to the 0801 but to the later 03 and 05 models. Anyway will have to see when it turns up, and its gotta be better than my current non working camera
Specs here

I bought an EPRANCE 0805 earlier this year for my car and it's been great. I've now bought a second car and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get another holder so I don't have to get two dashcams?

Hoping some experts can chip in here as my head is spinning!
Looking to put a Dash Cam (front and rear) in my Sons car.
Ideally we want something that is relatively discreet - as he parks it in a busy street every day, that has decent image quality front and rear.....that is good quality - and above all totally reliable. It must also not hamper the cars DAB radio (I've heard some of them are problem in that regard) - it would ideally also have a mode to record any events that occurred in the car when he was absent - such as vandalism or a parking ding ??
The ones I have looked at thus far include:
BlackVue DR650 2ch - with Power Mate
Mi-Witness HD - 2 ch
Thinkware F750 - 2 channel "hard wire" version.
Every "dealer" I speak to tells me that their system is the best and knocks the other products - so I am going round in circles. I don't want to buy one that I am spending hours on trying to keep current and running - and each systems seems to have critics on line.
So ideally looking for some first hand experience or unbiased recommendations please!!
Thanks!

Does anyone else with a Mobius have issue with loop-on recording?
I've tried two separate cards now, both 32GB, one Kingston and one Samsung, but when the card fills up the Mobius just stops recording and won't overwrite existing files. Loop recording is set to On.
I've formatted both cards as FAT32, using the in camera formatting method, and have a Mac so have been using MobiusManager to manage the config.
Starting to annoy me now! From reading it seems most issues are down to the cards, but these are both genuine and new cards that work in other devices.

if its aftermarket, swapping to a roofmount aerial instead of a glassmount might stop any interference issues.
im not too sure if thats an option on built in radios tho - could still be.
best idea is to go and try a few cams at halfords or somewhere like that - ask a staff member and explain the dab issue and see if they will let you try their demo units.

I'm very impressed with my F750 but I don't have DAB. You mention discreet, it all depends on your car and where it would be located, but the front camera may be a little larger than you would like.Hoping some experts can chip in here as my head is spinning!

The hardwire option and parking mode works very well.

i'm surprised no-one has made one yet with dual camera's which are separate to the main recorder.
Permanently fix it in the boot with live feed and then you'd be able to hide the cameras a lot better from prying eyes but all the ones i've found have to be stuck on the window so only a matter of time before someone takes a fancy to it around here.
I know the 1 time i forget to remove it would be the 1 time some scrote spots it!
K1s does this, but you still have cameras to mount, there are very small discreet cameras as an alternative option.Permanently fix it in the boot with live feed and then you'd be able to hide the cameras a lot better from prying eyes but all the ones i've found have to be stuck on the window so only a matter of time before someone takes a fancy to it around here.

When did you do the last software update? Interestingly, mine has started doing the same and it only seems to have happened since I last had it hooked up to my PC where I will have done a software update at the same time. I've not used mine for a few months now as I haven't gotten round to looking into it. I've used the same Sansung XHS1 card in mine since I got it and it's performed near flawlessly for 2.5 years now so something is amiss.
