I've noticed a few funnies with this. I think I'm running version 3, on an IPAQ.
If your destination is more than about 10 miles, then the software won't do a new plot if you take a wrong turning. This isn't too much of a bad thing unless you happen to be on a motorway.
Went to newbury a couple of weeks ago from yorkshire and took the wrong turning onto another motorway. Instead of working out a new route, it took me to the next junction (10 miles away) and did a U turn on the roundabout!. Sod that!, it added 20 miles to the journey. However, if you choose 'recent locations' as a destination, it does a re-calc.
Bit annoying.

another prob I had in Sheffield, along the same lines.
They blocked a road in the city centre, and it would keep taking you back to the same road when you avoided it. ARRRRRRRRRRRhhhhhhhh.
Also I've noticed, if the buildings are high, it loses sat lock leaving you high and dry!
