Overtaking around pedestrian islands

Hi bit of a weird question.
Basically, is it okay to overtake and go the other side of a island?
I just ask the question, as there is a road i drive along to work, 30 limit, but is full of push bikes in the mornings. I often see cars trying to squeeze past the cyclist and island, this obviously squeezes the cyclist towards the curb. I like to give riders as much space as possible.
As long as the visibility is okay, and nothing is clearly coming as well as no pedestrians, is it okay to go the 'wrong way around' one of these islands rather than, scrubbing speed, to wait for the cyclist and then accelerating away, but to maintain progress?
For example the island centred in the google map link here. Travelling from the miniroundabout, you can clearly see the road for about 200m.

Yup ,it's 3 points if you go 'the wrong side' of the island. That's what the blue arrow means.
Dishing these out to motorcyclists in london is like handing out beer at a house party.
It's also a massive hassle pushing a pedestrian shaped dent out of your bonnet and finding somewhere to dispose of 70Kg of raw chuck steak ,ergo, not worth the aggro.

Are you really serious with this question? If so it answers the question I've been wondering about when people overtake on the wrong side of islands when I'm in my truck travelling at the speed limit, I thought it was just plain dangerous driving not stupidity and lack of observation.Basically, is it okay to overtake and go the other side of a island?......................................

Do you have a source on that? I was reasonably sure blue arrows were non-endorseable FPNs and - for example - No Entries are endorsable FPNs.

Keep left arrows are non-endorsable (as are no entry).
If the island forms part of a DWL system then that's endorsable.

Round us there are miles of 50MPH roads with islands. These used to be nice wide open National Limits.
It’s quite rural and this time of year it really does my heart good to see how much these lower limits combined with the islands "improve" these roads. Cars crushing cyclists against the verges, tractors with tailbacks, motorbikes performing do or die overtakes, and best of all, emergency service vehicles trying to get through all of the above with the islands in the way.
Such is the price of "progress" I guess. Still with the new 50 limit its safer right?
If nothing else the man who mends the bollards is never out of work, and in a time of unemployment that must be the objective.

I am indeed a copper, but I investigate real crime not traffic matters!
I do recall giving 3 points on several occasions for this offence by way of PND some years ago (like 7+ years ago), and perhaps the offences have been revised by now because I checked this morning and this does NOT appear on the current list of endorsable offences.
Contavening a 'no entry' sign is still 3 points however.
I'd still stick people on for it, it's bloody dangerous as those islands protect pedestrians and junctions ,and people don't expect someone to be coming by on the 'other' side of them.
