Thoughts on IAM Course and Advanced Driving
Discussion
As a car enthusiast and lover of lux / sport cars I signed up for an Advanced driving course with IAM with an aim to help me handle the increasingly more powerful cars I am now buying.
Certainly gets you to consciously read the road and road signs rather than being on auto pilot and just reacting to hazards. Gets you to be more proactive and helps you enjoy the driving experience more, especially bends.
One thing you do notice however is more and more roads are being downgraded in speed and more and more road furniture going up. So i come to think what is the point of buying fast cars any more (apart from track days)?
Overall, recommend to all, in fact I think everyone should do some sort of refresher course as part of the licence.
