Was driving back from Gatwick this morning and on the dc that leads to the M23 was a patrol car stopped on the hard shoulder near the M23 roundabout. It had its rear red flashy-lights on and when we went past we definitely saw the driver take a bite of a bagette (several of us in the car saw it).

I consulted my Roadcraft book when I got back but couldn't see it mentioned either as a good thing or a bad thing! Must be ok then!

PS was going to post on the SPL thread, but they are much too serious and polarised over there!

Phew....bet you wished you hadn't

Nah, s'alright.

There are lots of views expressed on PH. I don't agree with them all (or even that many!), but they are fine if they are within the realms of what the mods allow. I have been know to get stressy when the views degenerate into personal abuse or peurile gainsaying.

Not that I am bothered about the personal abuse (I can return in kind quite happily), it is just annoys me in an anally retentive interlectual(sic) snobish kinda way!

So yes I would describe myself as an anally retentive interlectual snob. Which is why anyone who coaches me in driving has to deal with a lot of pain as I am rubbish on the receiving end!! Which is probably why the problems I had with my IAM group are more me than them! Phew, that took me nicely orf topic!!

Are you sure you haven't just taken the doors and screen off and followed a gritter down a B-road?

Now there's a great idea! Maybe I'll turn up in the 7 for another go!
