I had my paperwork cleared by Santander this week
Hi there - did you get any kind of order confirmation paperwork? For me it was just all over the phone, and then I got an email saying the order was going through.

I assumed I would get an information pack with order confirmation, contract etc? I only ordered last week so perhaps I'm jumping the gun a little.

What interior did you go for, some lovely interiors on the inscription.
Flirted with Blond but decided Amber was the rational choice

No paperwork as such, credit check and ID check with driving licence number done over the phone then confirmation email sent nominating the dealer. Was just pondering the same issue, my current lease required masses of printing, signatures, copies of utility bills etc and letters sent through the mail.

Cheers

Well having lived with the v90 d5 for a bit longer now and having driven a few long schlep s I am liking it more. I had a 4 hr motorway drive yesterday and most of it was with pilot assist on which worked well. It does get confused with long sweeping bends and still likes to be too close to the centre lane but it's certainly grown on me.

As we know the interior and seats are a winner and it excels at long journeys.

While the gearbox is still annoying and I miss not having a big turbo petrol 6pot for the noise and power , the d5 engine has loosened up some now so bit less rattly and pulls a bit better (still needs a v6 derv mind)

Sat nav is still naff but I use waze so not a big issue.

If anyone has a chance to spec one then definatly get a camera for parking as its a big bus and also keyless entry as its daft you have keyless start but not entry.

Looking forward to getting my D5 now.

I was one if those who snagged the cheap “Irish” spec cars. Now got my finance paperwork and it’s a 68 plate with delivery early September which goes against the original deal of end of August, however works better for me.

Anyway has anybody had prices for a retrofit rear camera as mine doesn’t have it and if the price isn’t horrendous I may get one fitted. I did call my local dealer who had no idea!!!

Exact same boat as you. Mine's coming 3rd September so actually a 68 plate after all. Real shame about no camera. Would also like to know retrofit costs but I believe it's extortionate. I'd also like to know if front sensors could be added and VOC but I believe the latter is factory fit only.

It's £1K to retrofit the camera.

From memory, the bulk of the cost is labour.

Wow in which case I think I’ll leave it and just be extra cautious when reversing.

The sensors can’t be any worse than on our A4 which let you know your close when you are at the point of collision!

Deffo get the camera! Trust me on that, sensors aren't the quickest and the camera is great

The camera is excellent, it makes parking in tight spots really easy but it’s not worth £1k.

The dealer pointed me towards this when I queried the high cost of retrofitting the camera.

I’ve just updated the whole of Europe maps - I initially just did NW Europe because I assumed it would be quicker. Oddly it wasn’t slower doing the full 46GB whole of Europe, but you couldn’t use the jab while updating. I’d recommend doing the whole thing after trying both.

Has anyone ordered there’s though contract cars?

Mine was ordered at the end of July with a 2-3 week wait, (onyx black momentum), but then delayed until 11th September. Have been told it will be a 68 plate now rather than 18.

Bit concerned it won’t have VOC as that would have been a great feature, or front heated seats. Also does anyone know the situation regarding the dash? Will it be the full 12” version or the original smaller one that the momentum came with?

Thanks

Went to Volvo to test a v60 d4 yestiriday and noticed the S90’s they look amazing on the inside and very quirky on the outside. I presume the lowest spec in these is still quite high?

At motor point and can get a momentum D4 with 900 miles on the clock for 22K, that’s a big saving. Anything to look out for?

They all had 18inch wheels on and I think they look so much better with 19/20’s on

Stay with 18" wheels, the ride is much better. 900 miles Momentum is cheap at £22k. It will be one of the early cars with less than adequate sound proofing.
