Ooh, I had one of those. 51 plate. The only car I've ever bought brand new.

Loved it.

Looked exactly like this.

Some lovely cars in this thread but slightly lacking in proper angle goodness.......

1 owner before me, 39k, 25 service stamps and a joy to jump into in the mornings!

I was really enjoying looking at those pics til I got to the interior shot...

Oh my, and I thought the Atacama interior in the S60R/V70R was bad...

Lovely car tho mate smile

That 740 is a real corker! personally I think that interior is one of the more tasteful and restrained colour schemes of the early 740s - the burgundy/red was worse!

Better... Finally remapped. Gaining another 40bhp/60Nm peak.

Such a different car to drive yet still refined (if a little loud) 2nd and 3rd have caught me sleeping a few times already lol.

It's a Volvo - I'm statistically obliged to park it badly smile

You should see how I've been parking this week! I had my rear bumper resprayed on Monday so I've been paranoid about reversing into the fence at work. I've been parking with the nose hanging out in space and the back a mile away from the fence. smile

In my defence my parking is still better than 90% of the other cars at work.

I thought the mad S70 needed something more sporty in terms of seating, so when my friend ripped apart a Subaru for his Hillman Imp project, he let me have the seats for £20.We took off the standard Volvo seat runners and with a bit of cutting, measuring, a couple of new holes drilled and some new bolts, ended up with the Volvo runners on the Subaru seat..

Still have to do the passenger seat, but I love the drivers seat now.The only thing lost is the tilt, but the back can still be adjusted as can the movement forwards and backwards.A much grippier place to be now!
