Must admit for no problem with my rear sensors. If anything they're a little over sensitive in that the beep goes constant when I've still got a foot or a bit more of gap.
That's been my experience too - they always work and are over-cautious if anything.

Not sure if some other owners (leasers!) from 2018 haven't had the latest software upgrade, or the older sensors aren't as good? Surprises me that I've had no issues but it appears to be a common complaint.

Anyone delayed the first service to try and avoid the second one?

That's my aim, service it as close to one month late as possible and hopefully dodge the second one.

Anyone know how far ahead of time the service message appears?

I've done exactly that. I'll let you know how it goes in April hehe

How soon beforehand did the service message appear for the first service?

Can't remember. But what I would argue is it doesn't matter. I think as long as it's not actually due it wouldnt matter of the reminder was showing.

First time poster on here!

Picked up a new V90 T4 Momentum Plus last week on a 2yr PCH. (Originally had a S90 on order from back in April but a mix-up with the supplying dealer meant a V90 being offered as an alternative).

Nonetheless, enjoying the car a lot. Coming from a 2017 C-Class C220d Estate, the extra size of the V90 does take some getting used to, especially on narrow London roads...but am slowly getting the hang of it. Spec on the Momentum Plus is superb, especially given the price. This being my first Volvo, I am genuinely impressed by the car so far.

The good:
1. Headlights - very very good
2. Build quality
3. Very comfy seats
4. T4 engine. Very flexible and not at all slow. Super quiet and power delivery is surprisingly linear
5. Gearbox. Not amazing but still good enough so long as you don't hurry it too much
6. Rear view camera - very clear
7. Audio quality - high quality despite only being the basic system
8. Sensus - took about 1hr to get used to it and it works seamlessly. Way better than the multimedia setup on the C-Class
9. Colour - Osmium Grey suits the shape of the car
10. 18' Turbine Alloys. Fill the arches fine and look very smart
11. Ride quality - perfect for London's rutted tarmac

Not so Good
1. Auto dipping side mirrors don't quite go low enough
2. Key fobs. They feel quite cheap and scratchy
3. Fuel consumption - getting about 26mpg on urban driving but guess that is to be expected given it is a heavy car. However, diesel made no sense as I only do 8k miles per year nowadays.

All-in-all...very pleased.

I followed the advice about the poor flap on the boot cover on the v90 and left it flopping around and we had a sunny day low and behold it now lays flat.

Looks better now

They’re not Alfas, we’re not in the dealers every week. biggrin
All dealers will have access to nationwide new stock I would imagine.

How do you stop the doors constantly locking and unlocking when you’re washing the car?
It quite difficult to wash the door mirrors when they’re flapping in and out like an unlocked gate in a hurricane.

Unlock, then open a door (and then shut it again) stops the car auto-locking

Tried that, made no odds.
Might only have been the drivers door though.

Out with the old and in with the new...

Collected the V90 CC from the local Volvo dealership yesterday, overall happy with the process but could have been slicker. Advised them the week before to update the software/systems and reset the service interval. On the day they were still updating the maps and installing the 100Gb SIM. Not ideal but not the end of the world. Very comfortable and smooth to drive with a very luxurious cabin.

I've searched back in this thread but can't find the answers to these questions:

1. The temperature on the drivers side always defaults to 22 even when you change it to 20. This has been tried with both keys. Any ideas?
2. Is there a way to do a folder listing from a music source (i.e. USB stick or Phone)?
3. It says Software Update Available but when you click on System Updates and Application updates there is nothing there?

Thanks in advance!

Nice, presumably one of the T5s that were offered at the end of Jan?

1. No idea, set mine to 21 when I got it and apart from having a fiddle once has stayed at this.
2. No idea, I use Spotify.
3. Probably a map update, I've done 3 or 4 since getting mine in April.

Sorry for not being more help.

I would question as to whether or not that was any help at all...biggrin

Map updates were performed in the dealership while I was waiting as per my post... or do I just install any Map update and the update notification will go away?
