The Volvo S90/V90 lease thread
Discussion
The daft very expensive annual servicing is what pushed me go with maintained in the end.
As for the 18s I thought they would look too small and although the R design would look a lot better on 19s, the lower ride height helps considerably over a momentum or inscription.
On another note my quotes for insurance have been comical for the V90 im getting soon due to the value of the car.
For personal cars i have always put the value as what i paid and then used GAP insurance to cover the rest. Any tips for getting quotes on a lease car?
Cheers

I had a BMW 118i (1.6 petrol) on PCP for 3 years. I then got an Audi A4 1.4 petrol lease to replace it and insurance cost stayed the same. Moving from the A4 to the V90 D4 R Design has put my premium up by £20.60 for the year (Direct Line with 'hire car plus' option)For personal cars i have always put the value as what i paid and then used GAP insurance to cover the rest. I’m very use to keeping the ‘auto hill hold’ feature permanently enabled on my Vw Passat alltrack DSG considering I live in a very hilly place. Judging by the spec on the v90 it has hill assist but for only a few seconds, is that the closest you get for this feature? I’m sure I’ll adjust but will miss the permanent auto hill hold.
Tiny part of me wishes I went for the 20s bursting blue ‘look at this sexy badboy’ edition, guess this will change when the Midnight look Savile comes through in a fortnight.
Please post pics guys if you ordered the bursting blue or another colour choice, always nice to see real photos.
Coincided the collection and delivery on the same day.

I stayed with Direct line, it was only £49 more for the 9 months left on my policy. It works out about £400 when added to what I paid at the start of the policy. As for the 18s I thought they would look too small and although the R design would look a lot better on 19s, the lower ride height helps considerably over a momentum or inscription.

Volvo insurance that the dealer said were very expensive wanted £545 and a broker that does deal for the dealer could not get anywhere near the Volvo price let alone the Direct line one.

There is the same hill assist, auto hold. Might be that little button on the centre console or swipe left on screen to find the button, can't remember . I have mine on all the time.Tiny part of me wishes I went for the 20s bursting blue ‘look at this sexy badboy’ edition, guess this will change when the Midnight look Savile comes through in a fortnight.

What’s your thoughts on Onyx black?
I managed to bag one of the V90s a couple of weeks ago from Stoneacre in osmium grey but looks like I got allocated onyx black by mistake? I only found out today while sorting out the insurance. Not too fussed really but not seen a black V90 in the flesh so hoping it doesn’t look like a hearse!

Looks good!!
With regards to the servicing it might be worth getting hit for the £100 + vat (Santander) for a non compliant service?
I was thinking exactly the same thing, will try and get away with the delayed 1st service to miss the 2nd, but worse case scenario taking the £100+vat hit surely makes more sense then paying for a c.£300-400 service? I just do not understand while companies are charging me more for a 2 litre diesel barge than they were for a bmw 340i with declared tuning box on it? Surely there cant be that many claims against a v90 d5 to make it a higher risk? So let’s assume one plays this ball game, how much would a service be elsewhere? to factor in the 120 as well it would have to be rather cheap.theitalian said:

I like the onyx black not had a black car since 2005 so fancied a change. I will say the dirt does show up on this more than on my Golf R. When they sent the paperwork over they had me down for osmium grey but they changed it for me.I managed to bag one of the V90s a couple of weeks ago from Stoneacre in osmium grey but looks like I got allocated onyx black by mistake? Onyx is probably my favourite colour (available) for the car. I do like the Bursting Blue, but it’s just a bit too close to BMW Estoril for my liking - and theres loads of them around my area/office car park. When you get up close to it in the sunshine the sparkle is lovley - and what true petrolhead doesn't love a bit of sparkle?!!
The streakyness in the close up was glass polish that i was in the middle of buffing off - didnt look that bad to the eye!
