Back in the late 80's one particular train which you might like to model was a train of mixed 100t and 45t tanks. About 6 4wheelers and a few 100t tanks. The train split at York, the 4 wheelers went towards Harrogate whilst the 100ton tanks went toward Scarbrough going down towards the Rowntree branch. After the Rowntree branch traffic ceased the traffic continude for Harrogate. I'll check my old diaries for loco numbers and headcode.

That would be great thanks. There will be a particular double headed train with 2 x Class 56's and up to 20 x 100T TEA bogie fuel tankers running on the model which I clocked a few times in 1984.If you could let me know loco numbers be grateful. Did it run mid 1980's do you know?

Thanks. Your wish is my command. No rolling stock yet - it's all being built from kits but here is a few pics of a humble Class 08 & 40. I have done a fair bit in the past, though I'm far from an expert when it comes to model building, especially railways.
However, I have always enjoyed looking at various build projects and have seen some beauties.
Just had a proper read of the thread and may I say this is by far the most realistic modelling I've ever seen, t'is a credit to you sir! I wish you well with the forthcoming exhibitions and well deserved publicity.

Bloody hell!Another lurker here and just stumbled on the thread, WOW! The detail is fantastic on everything, I love the fact that as much detail is going into the roads, manhole covers, etc. Very impressive.
I'd be just as interested to see the removal process, from base, to artic, to exhibition centres, (its the sad lory driver in me.)
