My best beloved has taken a liking to the Animal Crossing sets, so I've spent a lot of money on the Kingfisher and Piranha Plant, both discounted at Smyths. And Nook's shop, and Jeremy's birthday, and Isabelle's visit.

And making her happy, which is generally the aim anyways.

My other half absolutely loved the kingfisher and it’s a really nice piece too.

I really want to purchase the Lego Dungeons and Dragons 50th Anniversary set:

Even comes with a playable DnD scenario for all of the supplied characters/treasure/monsters etc:

For those interested and haven't already got it Concorde is £136 at Argos at the minute (and 10% cash back through Quidco today only).

Any recommendations for a lighting kit?

That's very tempting!

Random question, how long does the official Lego site delivery tend to take? Hoping to order a couple of things tomorrow

Also if anyone likes the look but not the price of the Artemis, they've got the Lego City Rocket Launch System for £97.50

Lego delivery has got better in my opinion. I ordered a couple of sets Tuesday and it’s arriving today. This was in the standard free (spend over £50) delivery.

If anyone's on the fence about picking up the Concorde set, don't hesitate, I think it could well be my favourite kit (maybe tied with the Saturn V)

I really want one but am struggling with having a space big enough to display it when finished

You don't need as much space as you would expect. The stand means it can overhang a fair bit from a shelf and still be supported

How's the Concorde as a build?

I tend to build, play briefly, then dismantle, so the finished model is less important.

ECTO 1 was a bit disappointing in that regard - great model, not as great a build. I did enjoy the Shuttle though.

What are the chances of a £170 set for £67 not being a fake?

I'm going with "zero".

Indeed, strong sets never really go for "cheap".

I was expecting it to be a bit repetitive but was really surprised….spoiler…..it’s better than the Shuttle….which I rate as one of the all time greats!

I have mentioned it before but my daughter and I did a bag a week from September through to Christmas last year and really appreciated the chance to slow and enjoy the build. The only repetition you notice is the engines which are in themselves mirrored so not exactly identical.
