Gearbox on the one I built was fine when I was putting it together although there were a few occasions I thought I had made a mistake but it all seemed to sort itself out when I put it all together.

I got mine from AliExpress (doesn't paste as a link for some reason):

https://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/0.html?spm=a2g...

If you are looking for the bits, there is a complete list:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.p...

If you turn one wheel on mine then the others turn fine but I have seen online that there are some 'fixes' for certain things but not sure if any are related.

I'm going to China next week (Beijing). Does anyone know if there are Lepin shops I can buy kits from there? Or is it all just online ordering only?
We bought all of ours online through Taobao although there are, or were before the latest court case, shops in markets that sold Lepin sets. Not overly easy to find though.

And go to Beijing Pie to eat, it's fairly near the Forbidden city East entrance. Lovely food.

think it was just too tight , I replaced a blue peg with a beige one and now it runs much smoother; exactly as i expected.

had to strip down 100+ steps to do the change but it was worth it.

front suspension and steering done, I want to get box one finished tonight.

Having spent my past few years with lego city, and not playing with Technic since the early 90s, I am truly astounded by these newer kits.

Others have already answered your question for you. As an example though, my mate got me the Star Destroyer (UCS) from a shop in China and paid $84 for it, so cheaper than I could find it on Aliexpress.

Have you ever tried to order in https://bricksdelight.com yet? If you have already, can you give me some reviews?

try without key words like star wars. or find an ended listing and click list one like this, see if that works.

Well, my first Lepin experience was a bit of an Epic. Had been looking to get something technic style to build for a while, I have heaps of old Lego that I've passed to the next generation so I wanted something that wouldn't break the bank but be a challenge and fun.

I settled on the Black GT3RS kit, I hate the original's orange so was never remotely tempted by it but in the photos black looked fantastic.

So ordered it last October for my birthday and it was delivered in reasonable time in a simple padded bag, the manual and sticker sheet had been slightly mangled in transit but the pieces themselves looked OK. The bags weren't numbered in any meaningfull way so I dumped all two thousand seven hundred pieces into a big tub and got to work, like a pig in ***t was I although the noise of rummanging though pieces constantly did see me banished from the lounge room for some time.

Somewhere around the three hundreth instruction (several weeks later) I was thoroughly stuck at a missing piece despite a long search through the tub O'bits. Anyway I decided to press on with a substitution piece until at instruction five hundred one of the definetely not replaceable wheel arches were missing. Swearing mightily I decided to audit the pieces in the tub and discovered all the arches and roof pieces were missing. ****ing Damnit.

Emailed seller and he reply straight away to please bricklink the missing pieces and he'd refund the cost.

Of course, black GT3 arches and roof pieces do not exist outside Lepin world so bricklink was not an option.

Many months, Christmas holidays and back and forth emails about how hard it was to get replacement parts passed until at the start of March I decided my niceness was expended and I raised a PayPal dispute for a refund (thank goodness for the six month paypal window for disputes!)

And Lo' replacement parts appeared within two weeks.

It now looks pretty nice in my opinion.

Apart from parts issues the whole build reminded me how much I love putting stuff together.
The PDK gearbox mechanism in particular is great, a shame most of it's hidden now.

I am considering buying the bits necessary to upgrade it to "Pimp my Porsche" spec with easy to remove body, hand of god steering, double damper suspension and other features.

Looks great! Epic build. Do you have a link for the kit and rough price?

It was £80 shipped with the extra lighting kit. After my less than pefect experience with the seller Jeremywhatsapp I couldn't recommend him, he is highly rated on Reddit so maybe I got unlucky. Unfortunately he seems to be the only guy with stock of black GT3 at the moment. The other Reddit recommended seller Yourwobb has Orange, White or Green. I'm tempted to get the white set to build the Stratos MOC next.

haven't been online in ages as, if honest, my Lego building days had taken a break since getting all of the older sets I wanted via Lepin.....then just clicking a few links today and I happen to see this

https://lepinworld.com/shop/lepin-star-wars/moc-on...

Well I can't bloody well unsee that can I

My official 75192 is sitting in a box in the loft waiting for my boy to be old enough to build it with me....and it will need a home...bricklinking would likely cost more than the Falcon itself...and it's going to be at least half the official price anyway, but my lord it would look amazing in his room when older

There's a clue is in the item's title:

and to avoid any doubt, there's a clear statement in the additional information:

I used Yourwobb for the Nikki Lauda Ferrari...and I had a load of pieces left over, they are good, with good comms as well. I was thinking about the Lancia stratos as well! White and spray the wheels green...

Lots of stories across the various FB Lego groups I'm in about a raid on Lepin, the arrest of one of the bosses and the confiscation of millions of dollars worth of stock. Predictably, it's being trumpeted as the end for Lepin.

Not sure quite how things will pan out - but I assume it won't be a complete end to it, and another knock off supplier will just rise up to take its place. Either way, if you've been hanging on from buying something, you may want to get in now before there's any chance of stock disappearing....
