Thanks to a Modelmatic newsletter these arrived recently. For a “toy” they just look great!

They are lovely

I have got the two Jay Leno sets from Smyths recently, both reduced now. Annoying the tank car is in both but the blue transporter is superb

Those sets are under £13 now. I, too, had to get one to get the Mercedes Wunder.

Anyone found Treasure Hunt or Super Treasure Hunt cars?
In about 5 years of casually looking, never seen even 1... I guess shop staff keep them for themselves / profit frown

I found a Super Treasure Hunt Studebaker at Smyths, couple of months back. Trying to get a chase now, frustrating trying to get the ones you really want on the pegs.

Managed to get the Spoon EG at the weekend.

I seem to be lucky and have found a few regular treasure hunts recently, not seen a super treasure hunt in ages, but I enjoy the hunt.

I have found a couple of chases in the car culture series, but definitely the popularity around hotwheels collecting has has increased and I have spoken with someone in a store who said they work there and they open the cases and stick the rare ones on eBay, before they reach the shop floor.

Fair enough.

I have started in the last couple of years to get a few more detailed 1/64 scale models from minigt and tarmac works.

The kaido house ones are really cool, the cases are sealed so you have a blind chance of a chase, I have been lucky A few times and got these.

Enjoying the hobby, it’s fun.

I enjoy it, my son buys loads and got me into it, he has over 10 Treasure Hunts now.

Bit like yourself I tend to buy more detailed stuff, like Inno or Ignition and like RLCs, Elites. I prefer the artwork on Hot Wheels, the new Porsche series looks great.

I couldn't resist a newly released Road Train + additional trailer to make a Triple.

Only problem is, at 75cm long it is difficult to photograph!

Made sure to also post this in the "Frivolous purchases....." thread as this was a little step up from my normal Hot Wheels bin rummage!

Daniel Arsham X Hot Wheels Rodger Dodger. I've been a fan of Daniel Arsham for years and always wanted one of his pieces, he's done a lot of Pokemon collectibles which aren't really my thing but when this came up I had to have it. It's an epic little piece, the box is magnetic and opens as a clamshell, as you open it pushes the case upwards to reveal it. You can take the car out if you unscrew it but I think I'll be leaving it where it is for now!

Not cheap, but very satisfying to look at.

I like it, so close to buying the whole lot, but sense got the better of me!

My Rodger Dodger survived the mail, but it looks like Evri have managed to destroy the Porsche and display case that was following. So it's now in the Evri system being returned and I'm waiting on Mattel for an update on a replacement (not hopefull as it was sold out).

Ah that's gutting, fingers crossed they work something out.

Gutted for you, I bet they will refund you, but doubt you’ll get a replacement. Voe frown

I got to keep the RLC though.

grumpyQuick update.

Mattel can't/won't replace the damaged Daniel Arsham car and case as the items are sold out, so there goes that idea of putting the collection together banghead
